Built for AYSO families

How Go Soccer Gear connects to AYSO - and what that relationship actually is.

Go Soccer Gear is an independent, volunteer-built project. It is not owned, operated, sponsored, or officially endorsed by American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) National, and "AYSO" and the AYSO logo remain the property of AYSO. We built this with AYSO families in mind and hope to work more closely with regions over time - but nothing here should be read as an official AYSO program.

Where this started

Go Soccer Gear grew out of one parent's fourteen-plus years on the sideline with AYSO Region 19 in Culver City, CA - as a player's parent, a referee, and a coach. Watching families quietly struggle with the cost of gear their kids outgrew in a single season, while other families nearby needed that exact size, was the problem this site was built to solve. It's meant to run like a nonprofit: no one profits from it, not the person who built it, not anyone.

Why "Everyone Plays" matters here

AYSO's Everyone Plays® philosophy means every registered kid gets on the field regardless of a family's budget. A gap in gear shouldn't be the reason a kid sits out a season. Go Soccer Gear exists to help close that gap for AYSO families and any other youth league facing the same problem - by keeping good, outgrown gear moving to the next kid instead of sitting in a closet or ending up in a landfill.

What we're hoping to build with regions

  • Regions who want to share Go Soccer Gear with their families as a free resource - no cost to the region, no cost to families.
  • Feedback from regional volunteers and commissioners who see this problem up close every season.
  • Over time, a track record strong enough that regions feel comfortable pointing families to it directly.

If you're a regional commissioner, board member, or volunteer who wants to learn more or talk about bringing this to your region, we'd genuinely love to hear from you - reach out through the contact page.
